Tales from the Commonwealth v2.0


Here’s a new version with some extra generic companion dialogue for Birdie and R4-04, and some fixes to Maisie who was added in version 1.9. Also added a new NPC encounter near the docks in the Croup Manor area.

  • Maisie – Removed from Institute faction which caused her to go hostile

  1. Thank you for your great job which seems to us another Mission Impossible! We had expected the 3dnpc of FO4 version would be released before the year 2018 but we never thought your team is so effective and make us get a view of this artifact within so little time! So again the huge and fantastic work could not be done by only one or two languages and would you like to give us Chinese players another opportunity, give the permission to us translators again? We will take a long long time to finish the job perhaps,but what we will have done must be sure of the worth! Thank you very much!

  2. It would be hard to explain just how much your mod has added to this game for me. The various episodes are enhanced by excellent design and the voice acting is great. I came across it by accident while looking for something else and it’s become an essential for my game. Thank you!

Looking at some of the videos again I was struck with the idea that Audrey should become a full Superstar Companion for the game and perhaps be given a summons device such as a two-way walkie talkie which could transport her to the player via a Pipboy command. A funny comment for as many vanilla and quests and locations as possible.

  4. When I translate the mod I found there are many many NPCs who got the same names as the original FO4. So are they the same ones in the game or just in the same names by accident?

    1. Accident. Not sure why it matters though, I picked names at random, didn’t care if they were the same as other NPCs, as long their names aren’t “Piper Wright” and “Paladin Danse” it’s irrelevant.

    2.0 Tales from CW makes Dogmeat go “You know the crazy thing about ferals? They used to be humans like you and me. Well, not entirely like you and me of course. We’re unique.”

    It was funny as h*ll the first time it happened. But now it’s happening every time I kill a feral with Dogmeat around.
    Might be worth to add I have this mod http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/13459/? that let’s you use Dogmeat alongside other companions.

  6. Uh-oh…I remember Maisie. She attacked me when I entered Diamond City (prior to this update) and I had to kill her. Fuck. That explains a lot. Maybe I can resurrect her if her corpse is miraculously still there or something. Amazing mod, regardless.

  7. found a bug in fiddlers green. for the quest. the raiders show up instantly as soon as dialog is completed. there is no chance to follow any options but 1. this is for version 2.0.
    separate bug raiders in cave near chapel to far west. just by talking to them they give out quest/ job completions even though I never received quest to do said job. mainly its there leader. and his second deal with so and so quest.

      The raiders showing up instantly is the entire point. It’s meant to show the Fiddler’s Green residents don’t have time to escape. You can either leave them and save Crystal immediately, or kill the raiders, using up valuable time, and then go try and save her. In other words, if you want to do option 2, it’s as simple as not killing the raiders and heading off for the church.

      Quest/job completions? You mean like killing raiders? That too is intended. He’s rewarding you for taking out raider gangs. It’s not part of any quest in the mod. But more specificity is needed. You could be talking about something else entirely, but I’m guessing you’re referring to Black Eye Bobby saying “Nice job taking out so and so” comments.

      Lastly, there is a bug report section on the top right header, it’s so any reports get logged in a single database where others can find them. These aren’t bugs though.
