Larkspur is one of the first NPCs in the mod to incorporate two sets of dialogue based on the PC’s sex. Unlike other conversations where a single line or pronoun might be conditioned to recognize gender, Larkspur is an attempt to have the NPC’s attitude and personality altered by the sex of the player.
As such, the choice of gender has a real impact as opposed to a superficial altering of the text. Larkspur references a number of NPCs in his dialogue, including the Redguard Gorr, who spent time as inmates in the same dungeon without ever officially meeting.
