Someone just alerted me that the new season of Game of Thrones begins tonight. You know what that means. More politics, pussy and Peters. My favorite is still Dinklage. He was really good in that movie about the trains. Anyhow, I hope they do a recap because having read the books I have no chronological awareness when it comes to this series.
(Spoilers? Not really, no names mentioned).
Recap- somewhat; it wasn’t too bad. You can look forward to seeing most of the characters from the previous season, as well as one major new one (Who was just brilliant in his premiere). It was a typical game of Thrones. You get nudity, blood and death in the first quarter, yippee.
Hope you get to see it soon.
I did get to watch it, and the recap at the beginning helped. I was like oh yeah, that wedding. Glad they cut away before the really violent stuff.
Oddly enough, I think cartoonish video game violence has actually made me more squeamish to fake-real blood. It’s not as fun as it used to be.
Just started watching the show, myself. Almost done with Season 1 (Episode 9 and 10 are all that’s left, I believe), but I’ve already been spoiled to the big season 3 finale’s fanbase-heart-stab at the end…
Luckily I think I forgot some of the specific names that were said. That aside, really loving the narrative of the story with all the political conspiracies and a sense that there’s always at least one character you come to like from pretty much all the factions, even those damned Lannisters, so even when your ideal “good guys” are winning, there’s at least one appreciated character that gets the bad end of the deal…and vice versa.
I also find it hilarious that pretty much all the “boring” lore overviews are given during sex scenes so as to give the silly OCD easily-bored Americans something else to direct their attention to if they don’t give a crap.
I just wish those whores weren’t so noisy so I could them, given the fact that while I do reside in the Americas I am NOT easily-bored with lore overviews and foreshadowing.
Also death to King Justin Bieber.
The only thing I’ll miss about Joffrey is Jack Gleeson’s fantastic acting.
Yeah, he’s great, but on the other hand, there’s really few opportunities for screen time now that a lot of the politics have been sorted out.
That I will agree with.
