Notes:
– Greeting Maisie will cause her to retreat to an isolated spot. Her dialogue will not initiate until she has sat down
– After talking to her Maisie will then go to a campfire west of Bedford Station, although she may not survive the trip due to bloodbugs in the area
My only encounter was when she attacked me unprovoked in diamond city. Just thought I’d mention it, as it seems weird. I had to google her to know who she was as I ofc had to kill her
In 1.9, she was incorrectly added to the institute faction. See bug report here:

Would it be possible to add some way to help Maisie?
Yeah, the thing is, the ordeal’s technically over at that point. The parents paid the ransom, and she had the procedure.
Mainly the point is to add some weight to the vanilla kidnappings/ransoms that feel somewhat empty.
Granted, she does leave and venture off to the Commonwealth, so there’s a chance she could get killed going back out there. I decided to leave her non-essential so there was some fluidity/ambiguity to the outcome.
Also in the future, probably best to have discussions like this on the forums, the wiki comments are more for discussing the wiki page/changes/edits, so typically I disable comments here, just forgot to do that for this page.
Well, she says that she wants a way to start over. Why not let her be someone who you can send to a settlement, like Sheffield? We could always use more named settlers.
