Trailers and Teasers – Rumarin Redux

I should apologize to all the translators out there. I’m sure it must be frustrating when I split the occasional monologues or make minor edits to the dialogue, but when I completely overhaul a character, it must be agonizing for them to have to re-kajigger the whole thing.

Still, I think in the end the changes are worth it. If perfect is the enemy of good, this may not be the last overhaul either. Then again, I can’t imagine Jay wanting to re-record a thousand lines a third time.  In any case, while the dialogue has been re-worked and re-ordered, you may notice that similar to Valgus, the meat of the conversation is mostly the same. It’s just been tweaked to be a little more seamless.

MINOR VALGUS SPOILERS IN VIDEO

Here’s the revised cemetery scene for Valgus, with some added panache. The base dialogue’s been cleaned up a little and altered to suit Aranas‘ cadence, with some added tricks to enhance the drama. You might also notice the audio quality has improved, which is awesome but does have the drawback of making the older dialogue seem hilariously bad and out of place, especially when a bunch of the idles have been turned up to ELEVEN. Man, poor dude’s all over the place.

Oh well, we’ll get this thing straightened out. All in due time, all in due time.

Trailers and Teasers – Halcar

Here is Matthew Dixon voicing Halcar for the new quest, A Thousand Words. As this quest centers around paintings, I have to mention that it wouldn’t be possible without the textures provided by Artisanix here.

I’ve cast all but the last part in this quest, and I should have plenty of auditions coming in for that one as well. This next update is shaping up to be a rather large one, and will include a full overhaul of many characters, and minor changes to both Rumarin and Valgus‘ initial encounters. Changes for the better, I assure you.
