Trailers and Teasers

I should also mention Vardath is named after a user who suggested making a quest based on slavers, and so here he is. The shirtless thing was my idea.

More work done courtesy of Jay Appleyard, about 500 lines in a span of a day. The top video is the main protagonist for the Stolen Property quest, and the bottom video is the Orc character for the miscellaneous quest, Bite the Hand that Feeds You.

You may have also noticed I’ve moved scripts onto the blog page in the right hand column labeled Casting Call, but I haven’t really had a chance to listen to auditions as I’ve been working on adding audio to the characters in the videos. But the point of having the scripts online as opposed to on a Word Doc is to add pretty pictures, as I think having a visual of the NPC will be an immense help to actors looking to get a feel for the character.

In other news, you may have noticed we’ve added more contributors. Sifka, who has done work on the Japanese translation for Interesting NPCs, has been helping Blauwvis and I add to the wiki. Ricardo Cancel is a volunteer who also has expressed interested in contributing, so I’ve given him some privileges as well.

Trailers and Teasers

This video is the trailer for a Khajiit NPC, Amsien, voiced by Jay Appleyard, for the new quest Stolen Property. Amsien is one of a handful of potential rewards available in the quest. Originally, I was going to limit him to one path, but he was too awesome to leave out, although there is still a chance you could miss out depending on your choices. The quest will have a large number of permutations, but most will go unnoticed by the player unless they do multiple playthroughs.

The primary choices will include:

• The choice of a new hireling or a sizable reward
• 1 or 2 potential house servants who sandbox in your home
• Two vastly different but interconnected routes

So far Trent Martin, Jay Appleyard, and Randy Westbrook have signed on to help voice the quest, and it appears it will be voiced rather quickly as a result.

Scrying the Tea Leaves

urzubI am not entirely sure when I will post a new release, as Blauwvis is my only bug tester, and she can’t be everywhere at once. We are also still trying to finish this wiki and bug-sweep and add new content, but it can be tiresome. Some notes:

• The part of Morndas may require re-casting, as Kelly has a very busy schedule that may intervene. Will post the script up on Nexus soon.

• Just to talk about the difficulty of casting, I have not received one audition for Falatild, one of the chief protagonists of a 7-part questline. Not even a bad audition. A premier role with some decent exposure and nothing. So, I’m not sure what the timeline is for that being voiced.

• Apropos of the first two bullet points, I want to put a real-time script on this blog, as well as on the character pages themselves. Blauwvis is working on a FAQ as well, but she’s only one person and I am only one something or other. Man?

• Anyone who wants to contribute to the blog/wiki, send me an email at kristakahashi@gmail.com and I will add you as an author. Just adding tables, screenshots, and RefIDs is a big help. Seriously, we will take anyone. I’m not going to say sexual favors will be offered for your services, but I am strongly implying it.

• Following next release, I will probably offer loose file updates again. I think I am done tinkering with audio file names, which was the primary reason I kept the BSA as a whole.

• Since we are using loose files, missing audio or new audio will be added to the blog via posts on the front page as well as the character pages. Oh, and lookee here, it’s audio files for both RAYNES and ISOBEL.  Just look at the bottom right hand section of the table for the words Audio Files – Download on their respective character pages. Again, this is just an example of how loose file updates can be provided after the next release.

Lastly, here’s a teaser for the Brother and Keeper quest.
