Norgrof Oak-Heart is a character based on a story told by Orondil regarding a particularly bloody execution. The resulting mess left his family cloak stained in blood, which Norgrof believes entitles him to compensation in the form of land. While generally surly, his dialogue alters dramatically depending on whether you are wearing fine clothes, at which point he will address you as a peer.
Strangling the Bear
After failing to gain an audience with the Jarl of Solitude, Norgrof turns his attention to Windhelm, where he can be found outside the Palace of the Kings. After the guards refuse him entry, the player can suggest he does one of the following:
– Follow in his ancestor’s footsteps and fashion a new cloak from a bear’s hide
– Appeal to a higher authority such as the Greybeards
Both options will take Norgrof to Ivarstead, where he will be quickly killed by either a bear or a leveled predator, depending on your earlier suggestion.
