Prophet Script

All you who follow the false prophet Zannfar, repent your sins, for he is the wolf in sheep’s clothing!
His actions send us to ruin, for his words are his own, and mortal words are spoken blind!
Yet Aldryn’s words are that of the Gods! They are Azura’s breath in mortal form!
His blade is Boethiah’s vengeance! His cloak is Mephala’s shadow!
And that which has been chosen by the Divines cannot be silenced! For they are as immortal as they are true!

Heed my words, citizens! The prophet Aldryn is not dead, for he cannot be slain!
Like the Tribunal before him, he will come to us once more, not as a man, but as a Divine!

Who are you? What are you preaching?
I am one of Aldryn’s original followers. He brought me here so that I may find salvation. And now it is my duty to save those who have strayed.

Where were you when the Falmer attacked?
In his infinite wisdom, the Prophet Aldryn sent me on a mission to spread the word of his gospel.
Yet I failed to recognize the true meaning of his words until it was too late.

What do you mean, the true meaning?
Aldryn sent me to preach, but I assumed he meant to outsiders.
When news of his death reached me, I realized that it was my own people who needed to hear my words.

Aldryn said he didn’t consider himself a prophet.
That is because he wanted you to gauge his words by their substance, and not their speaker.
For the Gods can tell you what needs to be done, but mortals must still choose the correct path.

I’m just surprised Zannfar let’s you live.
The wolf would never harm his own kind. For Zannfar does not know he is a wolf. Nor does he understand why the sheep die around him.
His intentions are like all mortals desires. They are flawed. As are the people that choose to follow him.
This is why the Prophet Aldryn forgives them. This is why he will give them a second chance.

He sent you away because he wanted to get rid of you.
You are wrong. When he pushes us away, he is not asking us to leave. He is asking us to find him.

Preaching’s fine, but try not to yell so much.
My role is not to suppress the truth. My job is to tell it.

Who else is in your cult?
Drennan and his wife, as well as their unborn child. We believe it is in this seed that the prophet will be reborn.

Once he becomes of age, he will take his rightful place as our leader, and guide us home.
Whether it is here or elsewhere, Azura’s will shall become truth.

Scene with Zannfar 1

Still preaching your nonsense to the citizens, I see.

Do you have a problem with my presence, Zannfar? Or is it my words that sting you.
After all, nothing hurts more than the truth.

You’ve got it all wrong, fetcher. I like having you here.
Whenever they think they might be better off with Aldryn, you show up and remind them how crazy his followers are.

Scene with Zannfar 2

Mark my words, Zannfar. When the true prophet returns, all your machinations will be for naught.

If Aldryn rises up from the grave, I’ll just kill him again. All I have to do is strangle the fetcher who raised him.

Are you implying I would practice necromancy?

I didn’t say anything. You did.

Scene with Varksys

You got some nerve preaching in the marketplace, telling lies about Zannfar.

Then think of me as a vendor. I sell the truth.

What you’re selling is poison.

The same could be said for you, butcher.
