Gerrod is an Alteration mage posing as a hunter, and one of four Radiant Dark members who can be found prior to the events of that quest.  Unlike illusion mages who seek to conceal their identity by pretending to be hunters, Gerrod takes the extra step of learning the craft.

Gerrod also weaves fact and fiction into his stories, claiming one of his wives was an alteration mage when it’s likely the roles were reversed.Speaking to Gilsi and Eldawyn prior to Gerrod will open up additional dialogue at Cliffside Retreat.
