Among-the-Hist is a male Argonian follower who can be found in Boulderfall Cave. Although initially the warlock inside the cave was disabled, this change was reverted due to the potential to break radiant quests. However, as a result, the warlock may bring the dead child Igna to life, destroying the opening sequence for the character.

If the PC is a vampire, Among-the-Hist will refuse to follow and much of his dialogue will be inaccessible as a result. Bringing the character near the NPC Rinori will result in an idle commentary regarding her disease, which is explored later in the quest Vigilance and Virtue.

Vigilance and Virtue
Among-the-Hist is one of two protagonists in the quest. As he makes his appearance halfway through the opening act, bringing him along as a follower prior to the start of the quest will disable Viranya‘s dialogue.
