Trailers and Teasers

Another day, another video. Morndas is voiced by the incomparable Anna Castiglioni, who pumped out 200 lines in a matter of days. Considering Morndas has about 700 or so lines total, I’m fairly optimistic about how quickly she will be voiced. More importantly, knowing I have a reliable voice makes me more likely to write for her in the future.

Admittedly, I hesitate to write lines for NPCs knowing there’s a chance the VA will never do them, or perhaps take so much time that it almost seems that way. Conversely, when someone like Anna takes a role, there really are no limitations, so expect more from Morndas in the future.

Also, I just realized how ridiculous it looks to have used my real last name for this character. Next time I make a video I will use my canon playthrough, Chazz Ironstud.

Banner Art

This is a banner designed by SilversParlor and it’s pretty cool. If I had to guess, the silhouettes from left to right would be Zora, Qa’Dojo, Amalee, Rumarin, and Gorr. But I’m not entirely sure, the middle one could be Jaclyn Smith. How could I not recognize my own children? Probably because I would make for a terrible father. (Now that I think about it, the one on the left is Viranya, isn’t it? I give up.)

I’m still trying to figure out where to put the banner, besides having it tattooed on my penis. In other news, here is the amazing FedoraandRapier taking a stab at the character Juryk, who will be part of the next update but won’t be voiced just yet. I made this video using audition samples and the recording devices I put in everyone’s showers. Don’t worry actors, it’s just audio.

I should also mention Vardath is named after a user who suggested making a quest based on slavers, and so here he is. The shirtless thing was my idea.

More work done courtesy of Jay Appleyard, about 500 lines in a span of a day. The top video is the main protagonist for the Stolen Property quest, and the bottom video is the Orc character for the miscellaneous quest, Bite the Hand that Feeds You.

You may have also noticed I’ve moved scripts onto the blog page in the right hand column labeled Casting Call, but I haven’t really had a chance to listen to auditions as I’ve been working on adding audio to the characters in the videos. But the point of having the scripts online as opposed to on a Word Doc is to add pretty pictures, as I think having a visual of the NPC will be an immense help to actors looking to get a feel for the character.

In other news, you may have noticed we’ve added more contributors. Sifka, who has done work on the Japanese translation for Interesting NPCs, has been helping Blauwvis and I add to the wiki. Ricardo Cancel is a volunteer who also has expressed interested in contributing, so I’ve given him some privileges as well.
