This is the ninth of ten updates before the release of 3.07. With only a week left before the Nexus release, I’m not sure if the miscellaneous witch quest will make it but we’ll see.

I added another NPC in the meantime. Arelthor (Patrick Mahoney) is a character I might  use in a future Thalmor related quest after The Aldmeri Prisoner is finished. Similar to the Radiant Dark, I like introducing NPCs in passing and then having them play a part in later endeavors.

• Fixed instance where arriving on a day other than Morndas started Fenced In but left Swims-In-Wind disabled
• Altered prerequisites so Rose Without Thorns can be started without progressing in the main quest

Sometimes you’ll meet someone and have immediate chemistry. You like the same crap. You finish each other’s sentences. In fact, you get along so well the textbooks list your Facebook pages as an example of a covalent bond. You think Sodium Chloride is impressive? You should see Jill and Steve.

Then there’s people in life you’re never going to get along with. No matter how hard you try to work with them there’s always gonna be this space, and in front of that space there’s a moat and a wall with crocodiles and gargoyles. It’s weird, it’s tense, and it’s awkward and it’ll never be anything but.

All this is to say it appears Ylgyne‘s foray into the top ten was short lived. He was ranked as high as #3 but IDONOTLIKEUSERNAMES dropped a #38 spot on him, and that’s an absolute anchor on your composite score. Like I said, with some people, you just never hit it off.

Finally. I finally finished this picture. I posted a WIP of this on the 25th of June. It’s now the 25th of July. Good GOD I am seriously out of practice when it comes to completing digital illustrations in a timely manner. I’ve been working on this so long it was driving me crazing. I was actually starting to resent these two characters and I was talking about them behind their backs. “Look at them. The furtive glances. The sexual tension. Makes me sick. HEY! Just bone each other already!” Except that will never happen, because I don’t draw porn for free. Sorry, sweethearts.

It’s Daenlyn Oakhollow again. This time however relaxing in the shade of a wooded glen with my Redguard Dragonborn, Avishi. She has fallen for his devilish charms, developing feelings of love for him. Their relationship is blooming rather nicely. She’ll probably take him as a lover first, rather then marrying him out right. Mostly because she’s to much of a whimp to propose, and also she has a sneaking suspicion he’s hiding things. She was extremely upset when she learned he willingly gambled his friend Mithril away. She values friendship so you can imagine the overwhelming disappointment, and the desire to kick his nuts in, lasted for quite awhile. Don’t worry, though. Things are on the up and up between them. Now it’s just a matter of finding a tank who won’t be offended by the sight of two adults making love in a tree. *ponders*

I had a lot of trouble drawing Avishi. I wanted her to have certain special facial features, and to be honest, I’ve never drawn anyone with Indian ethnicity before. It was a very educational and entertaining experience! What wasn’t entertaining was drawing her armor. I currently have her in Demon Hunter Armor by Jojjo and what you see in this image is the simplified version of a highly detailed armor mod. I probably took more time working on Avishi then I did the rest of the image. I have no one to blame, but myself. I put her in the armor, after all.

Daenlyn was easy, though. I had drawn him in his armor before so recreating it was a breeze. I altered his facial features a tiny bit, his previous incarnation didn’t feel “Skyrim Elven” enough to me. If that makes any sense at all. xD

Even though I complained I still had a lot of fun working on this piece. I streamed coloring this image a few times over on Ustream. I only ever use this account for art, and they don’t really save past broadcasts which is unfortunate. Anyone who is interested in watching can follow along and chat me up if they want the next time I stream some art. I also listened to a lot of Dave Matthews Band during the creation of this image. Their music tends to put me into a fay mood, filling me with wonderful romantic feelings. Very inspirational work.
