It’s Wednesday, which means a new podcast episode, huzzah. Well, Wednesday in my time zone at least. Editing took a little longer than usual due to some technical snags, but fortunately the universe revolves around America, so…uh…USA, USA, USA!!!
This week Christian and Anna interview Shrike, one of the key contributors to Anna NPCs as well as a couple of his own mods.
It’s Wednesday which means it’s time for another podcast, or Modcast, as it were. That is what the French call a portmanteau baby, and as far as they go, there is no way anyone has ever thought of this one before. Nope, Modcast is a completely original name, no need to Google it, trust me on this one, seriously.
While there are tons of shows dedicated to mods, most of them are reviews as opposed to interviews and discussion, which is what we’re shooting for with Modcast. Of course, convincing notoriously shy modders into going public may be difficult, but hopefully the fact that our subscriber base is puny will help matters. Unfortunately, it did not help this month, which is why your hosts – Christian Gaughf and Anna Castiglioni – chose me as their first guest.
In this episode, the three of us talk about Interesting NPCs, mods we don’t have time to play, and why control over all the schlong sizes in Skyrim is too much power for one modder to have. Hope you enjoy.
This is the fifth of ten updates before the release of 3.07. It’s not all that different from 3.06.4, just a few maintenance updates and voice files you won’t have access to yet. However, you’ll be happy to hear the new quest is finished minus re-takes, I just need to test all the permutations as there are many. So it will probably be next week when I release it.
In other news, the first podcast episode for Non-Playable Characters, hosted by Matthew Dixon and J.T. Decker, has also been recorded. It too just needs fancy trimmings and stuff before release. In fact, I haven’t even seen or heard it myself. The other 2 will be titled Speaking of Voice Acting, hosted by Lindsey Lorraine and Jessica Osborne, and Modcast, hosted by Aranas and Jay33721. Guest hosts and fill-ins will also be needed, in addition to guest interviews, so if you’d like to volunteer let me know.
Lastly, if you go to the WordPress Dashboard in the top left corner you’ll notice a new ranking section. You can rank various things like followers and the composite will be updated on the right sidebar. It’ll take some time to stabilize as there’s only a couple rankings at the moment, but over time it’ll be interesting to see how it turns out.
