Was waiting with Nuka World just to play it with proper companion commentary as I have heard that there is almost none from the vanilla companions. So thank you for this!
One thing I noticed though on Beth.net, this version is somehow almost 50 MBs smaller than the previous one, now how is that even possible if you have only added new things (, right? ) ? Is it a bug with the site or you found a way to compress it even more?
Just curious, thanks again, this mod is the best, honestly, that’s available on Xbox One.
Probably didn’t compress some WAV files to FUZ in version 2.1 and it came out bigger than it was supposed to.
But if you find anything unvoiced, let me know and I’ll upload a fix.
edit: It was actually the Character Facegen files, I mistakenly included them last time and they aren’t necessary from my tests
Nice, but did you fix that bug when you changing cells Birdie will start conversation almost everytime? Also that quest with fighting robots was buggy for me in v2.1 that it almost everytime blocked itself.
Thanks for DLC version!
If you have a report, please use the bug report/FAQ section at the top.
Sounds to me like Birdie is trying an affinity greet, which there are failsafes for so shouldn’t happen. You can try sending a save to kristakahashi@gmail.com because I most certainly cannot replicate such behavior. Same with the robots, more information is required, your report is too vague.
You’re right, I’m sorry, I will make proper bug report soon, I will just first test new version to find if the bugs are still there. Thanks.
P.S. I don’t know how I just made two comments with two different accounts.. Sorry for that, but it seems that system bugged for me on Opera browser.
Edit: I think I just (probably?) find my problem, it’s ”Full Dialogue Interface” mod, shame that it’s patch works only for TftC v2.0 and breaks newer versions.. I will uninstall it and see how it goes.
P.S. I just noticed that there is a new quest personal for Birdie, awesome! Thank you for DLC addon too!
Ah, that would cause issues, since any change or fix I make to the base mod might get reverted back to previous settings by the FDI TFTC patch.
For example, in version 2.0, there was dialogue that was just in the planning stages, not really conditioned to any NPC. In version 2.1, I turned that dialogue “on” and assigned it to the proper NPC.
Unfortunately, FDI reverted the dialogue back to 2.0, which caused every NPC in the game to say the line since the previous, “turned off” version of the dialogue did not have any conditions.
EDIT: Also it’s not the mod itself, it’s the patch for TFTC that’s the issue (if it isn’t updated). FDI base mod should be just fine.
This is great! Thank you for all your hard work. Birdie is by far my favorite NPC. 10/10 what a cutie. The voicing is flawless and its such a unique and charming character, I can’t wait to play the personal quest. If I didn’t know better, I would’ve thought he was a Bethesda NPC. I’m excited to see what more you will add to this mod! I’ll definitely be leaving a generous donation in the near future, you all deserve to be rewarded :)
The Full Dialogue Interface seems to work best without the TftC patch. When I used the patch I had Dogmeat delivering lines of dialogue. Dogmeat delivering lines of dialogue is not a bad idea, but it was quest breaking at the time.
Sounds like this.
That’s the thing with FDI add-on patch, even if I fix something, the FDI TFTC patch might bring it back by reverting settings to what they were previously.
It might be a good idea for me to just delete and rebuild stuff like this, that way FDI TFTC patch (not the base mod) can’t revert the settings.
You are the best. The people who help you are also the best. Thank you!!!
Following up on the link which Kris posted, will Vincent be making a trip to the Commonwealth? Don’t suppose Vincent’s colorful use of language would make it past the console censors, but he would be a treat for PC users. Hope Lies would be even better.
It would be fun to have Jay and Lila Paws resurrect that pair of bandits from the Paper Mirror quest of INPCs
(hope I am remembering the names correctly). The chemistry they had for that brief encounter was remarkable and it could most likely translate to similar chemistry for a pair of raiders, settlers or other characters.
How to update the mod from 2.1 to 2.3? do I need to uninstall the previous version first then install the 2.3 or I can just install the 2.3 and overwrite files if being ask?
